Egg-less Black Forest Cake

Black forest cake is an awesome dessert for your parties. It can be used for any kind of celebration. This recipe attempts to make an egg-less cake for friends who don’t eat eggs and want to enjoy the cake. The origin of black forest cake it seems is from Germany. This German cake is my family’s favorite.

Instructions
Baking Cake
  1. Ingredients for cake.
  2. Ingredients for frosting cream.
  3. Sift the cake flour, coca powder, baking powder and baking soda in a mixing bowl.
  4. Mix well. Keep it aside.
  5. Preheat an oven at 350 degree F in bake mode. Grease two 8'' round baking cake pan with butter so that it will hold the wax paper. Line the bottom of pan with round wax paper. Grease the wax paper with butter and dust with all purpose flour.
  6. In another mixing bowl, Add butter, condensed milk and vanilla extract. Mix them with electric mixer in a low setting, whisk it until it becomes a smooth paste.
  7. To make a good cake batter, do not add all the cake flour and coke all together. Add about one third of each at a time and blend to a smooth texture.
  8. Mixture should be of pour consistency. Do not over mix the batter.
  9. Pour the cake batter in greased pan and smoothen the top. Bake the cake for 30 minute. To ensure that cake is baked properly, insert a toothpick at center and it should come out clean. If required bake it for some more time and keep checking. At most it should take about 45 minutes.
  10. Let the cake cool down, cover the cake and keep it in a fridge for 3 hr.
For icing cream
  1. In a mixing bowl, add whipping cream, vanilla extract and sugar.
  2. Whisk in a low setting until stiff peaks forms. Icing cream is ready. Keep it in a fridge for 20 min.
For Decoration
  1. Cut the cherry in a small pieces.
  2. Make sugar syrup by mixing water, sugar and cherry syrup by mixing it well. Cut the cake using sharp knife, horizontally, into two layers. Turn over the top layer of the cake and place the cake in to serving plate. Pour syrup over the bottom portion of the cake.
  3. Spread icing cream on the bottom portion of the cake all around.
  4. Spread cut cherries evenly over the cream.
  5. Place the top half of the cake over the cherries. Pour sugar syrup on the top half of the cake. Spread the remaining cream over top and sides of cake. Cover the cake and keep it in the fridge for over night. Save some icing cream for further decoration.
  6. Fill a large star tip pastry bag with cream and decorate by making starts on top of cake. Decorate the cake before serving with shaved chocolate and cherry. You can use your way of decoration.
