Ragi Malt

Ragi is a rich source of Calcium, Protein, Fiber, Iron and has lots of health benefits. There are various recipes which can be prepared using ragi such as ragi malt butter milk drink, ragi malt sweet apple porridge, fruit ragi malt oats smoothie and so on.

Ingredients
Instructions
  1. Ragi Malt/ ragi flour/ finger millet flour.
  2. Heat ghee in a pan at low to medium heat. Add ragi malt in to it.
  3. Dry roast the ragi malt till aromatic at low to medium heat.
  4. Once it done turn off the heat. Add nuts and mix it well.
  5. Ragi malt is ready. This ragi malt can be store in a airtight container up to 3-4 months or in a freezer.

  1. So ragi flour cannot be used directly in smoothies right? It needs to dry roasted…..can we do it without ghee? Will that burn the flour?

    1. Hi Marina, yes you have to dry roast the ragi flour for smoothie, but you can do it without ghee at low flame.
