Sweet & Sour Mango Apple Chutney

Chutneys are very essential dishes in Indian cuisine. There are a variety of chutney recipes which can be found in India. Some are sweet and some are spicy. Indian food is incomplete without chutney. This recipe is made with two fruits which have tangy and sweet taste.  Apple and mango cooked with jaggrey and flavored with spices.It’s a great compliment with Paratha or with bread for breakfast. My kids love to take it to school with Paratha. It is very easy to prepare and you can store it for up to a couple of weeks in the fridge.

Buttermilk (Chach)

Butter Milk or Chach is a light refreshing drink for your breakfast or can serve as a compliment to your meal. Traditionally, buttermilk made from homemade curd. My grandmother used to make chach (buttermilk) with homemade curd after churning curd out of cream using wooden mathani (whisker). It’s really easy to prepare and useful when it comes to beating the heat.

Sattu Drink (Roasted Gram Flour)

Sattu is flour prepared using roasted black gram. You can find the recipe below this recipe in recipe notes section. Sattu is a common food item in eastern UP and Bihar states in India. Sattu is a good source of fiber and minerals. This heat the beat recipe is a soothing drink for summer. If you do not want to make the Sattu at home, it is available in Indian grocery stores.
