Instructions
  1. Clean raw banana and cut the both edges. Boil it in a cooker for 3 – 4 whistles in water. Once boiled, take it out from the cooker and let it cool down to a warm temperature. Peel and mash the boiled bananas. Keep it aside. Make sure it is boiled nicely.
  2. Dry roast oats in a pan at medium heat until the oats get a slightly golden color. Grind the oat in a grinder and make a coarse powder. Reserve 1/3 cup of the oats powder for dusting.
  3. In a small pan, heat 1 tsp oil, and saute ginger paste for about half a minute until the raw flavor is gone. In a mixing bowl, add all the remaining ingredients and add fried ginger paste into it.
  4. Mix all together and make a nice dough consistency. Take a small size mixture ball and make a kabab( tikki). Make all tikkis following same process.
  5. Dust all the kababs (tikkis) with oat flour and keep it aside.
  6. Heat the paniyaram pan at medium heat. Drizzle some oil and place the small kababs ( tikki). If you don’t have paniyaram pan, you can use tava or griddle.
  7. Grill it til both sides have a golden color and is cooked nicely.
  8. Once done, remove the tiki from the griddle or paniyaram pan and place it on a plate with tissue paper.
  9. Banana oats kabab( tikkis) are ready to be served.
  10. Serve it hot with green chutney and sweet chutney as evening snacks.
  11. You can make banana oats tikki chaat using this kabab (tikki).
