Hariyali Paneer Kofta Curry

Kofta dishes are famous in north India. There are varieties of kofta curries, like lauki (bottlegourd) kofta, paneer kofta, banana kofta, malai kofta & chicken kofta. Hariyali paneer kofta curry is prepared using deep fried stuffed panner in spinach balls and dipped in rich, sweet & creamy gravy. This kofta curry tastes delicious and goes very well with naan, paratha or jeera rice.

Carrot( Gajar) Halva

Carrot (Gajar) Halva is one of the popular dessert prepared with milk, mava and carrots. This recipe is generally prepared using a dark red carrot which is available in India and it gives a beautiful color to the dish. I could not find the same carrot in US so used regular carrots. You could add little bit of beetroot to get a darker shade. It is a rich recipe and teases your taste buds if you are health freak. Occasionally its good to give a treat to yourself. Kids love this sweet.

Rasogulla

Mouthwatering Rasogulla is a famous Bengali sweet prepared from milk paneer and sugar. In Bengal, people welcome their guests with this delicious sweet. Bengali marriage ceremony is incomplete without rasogulla. It’s all time my family’s favorite sweet. For making rasogulla, we need fresh soft paneer, so we have to make it at home. Kneading process of paneer is very important for making soft and spongy rasogulla. The paneer balls are cooked into sugar syrup and flavored with rose essence and green cardamom powder. It’s a great dessert and tastes awesome.

Rasmalai

Rasmalai is most popular Bengali sweet made up of mainly Milk and Sugar as ingredients. This is mainly used as dessert however one can eat whenever you like. Sweet lovers would love this delicious sweet. The process is pretty simple however needs to be timed well at certain stages to get the right recipe.
