Oats lentil Pancake

Oats Lentil Pancake is a dish which can be used for breakfast or brunch. Unlike regular pancakes which is generally sweet, this recipe is salty and spicy. It is also more are less similar to Indian set dosa. Oats and Lentils are really good for health and adding them to your food routine would give you good health benefits. As the name suggest the main ingredient for this recipe is oats and any kind of lentil based on your liking. I have used yellow moong lentil for this recipe. Oats Lentil Pancake can be served with naturally colorful corn & avocado salsa and tomato beetroot chutney. You can also serve it with coconut or peanut chutney.

Dum Aloo

Aloo (Potato) is king of the vegetables. It can be used to prepare variety of dishes like curries, Paratha, fried vegetable, snacks items like aloo tikki, samosa and so on. Tasty dum aloo is a very popular North Indian dish. Dum Aloo is a very simple gravy based dish made using very less ingredients basically boiled baby potatoes which is cooked in tomato gravy and spices. My mom always added freshly grounded garam masala which gives a wonderful aroma and taste to the dum aloo. There are many way to prepare dum aloo, different ingredients gives different taste to it. This recipe is tomato base curry but you can also make it yogurt base dum aloo. We all prefer to eat green vegetables however some time making potato curry gives a little twist to daily routine specially during summer when limited green vegetables are available. Dum aloo goes well with jeera rice, roti, Paratha or poori.

Mooli ( Raddish) Paratha

Mooli Paratha is a type of bread which is famous in Northern part of India. There are many types of paratha recipes like Aaloo mutter gobhi parathagobhi paratha, methi paratha, green spinach & mustard paratha,  Kale & Spinach Lachha Paratha or so on. Paratha’s could be either stuffed, plain or veggie mixed with dough. Paratha goes very well with raita or pickle along with a cup of tea at breakfast. Mooli paratha can be made either stuffed or mixed with flour. This recipe is non-stuffed version of Mooli paratha made with grated mooli, mixed with wheat flour and some spices. Mooli paratha can also be enjoyed with gravy based curries and is perfect for lunch boxes.

Dahi Chane Ke Kabab

Kababs are mouthwatering appetizer which everyone loves. There are varieties kababs both veg and non-veg. Dahi (yogurt) chane ke kabab is a delicious appetizer which is so soft that it melts in your mouth. This recipe is made using hung curd, boiled black chana (chickpeas) with flavorful Indian spices. This recipe is very simple & easy to make & slightly different than dahi ke kabab recipe. In the whole process the most time consuming part is preparing hung curd. For this recipe hung curd should be very thick otherwise you will not able to make kabab with good texture. This yummy kabab can be served with date & tamarind or/and coriander-mint chutney. You can pack it as side item for lunch boxes along with some tomato sauce.

Green Moong Daal Dhokla

Dhokla is a yummy savory  famous Gujarati snacks. Traditionaly, it is made with gram flour (besan) and you can play with the ingredients by adding oats, quinoa or semolina to give a little twist to the taste and flavor. This recipe is about making Dhokla using green moong daal with spinach and quinoa. Quinoa & spinach gives a unique taste to the Dhokla along with providing a natural green color to it. To make it spongy you would need fruit salt  (ENO) or baking soda. You would also need Dhokla stand and steamer to prepare this recipe.

Grilled Tofu

Grilled Tofu as such is a nice appetizer recipe, however marinating it with raw mango gives a unique taste. The recipe is prepared with sweet & sour sauce made from raw mangoes and marinating Tofu in that sauce along with other vegetables. Raw mango sauce gives a tangy flavor to tofu. This recipe is quite easy to prepare and perfect for summer appetizer.

Guacamole Dip is a very common dip. The recipe is a classic Mexican delight and is very healthy due to the avocados. The dip goes very well with tortilla chips, and is also used as a salad or side with other dishes. There are many dips with different available flavors.

Green Moong Daal Dosa (Pesarattu)

Green moong daal (Pesarattu) dosa  is a popular breakfast dish of Andhra Pradesh.  This recipe does not require overnight fermentation. Just soak the moong daal overnight, grind it and make a healthy dosa for breakfast. Adding Oats and Quinoa makes it more delicious and nutrient. Usually this dosa is served with rava upma and Allam Pachadi (ginger chutney). Goes well with tomato or coconut chutney and sambhar.
