Achari Gobhi Dry

Gobhi(Cauliflower) is one of popular vegetable and there are various recipes which can be prepared using this. You can make the it either dry or gravy. Achari flavored Gobhi is a dry recipe which is tangy and flavorful. This is my childhood favorite dish which my mom used to prepare for our lunch boxes and would give us either with Poori or Paratha. This is a very easy recipe and you can add other vegetables too like potato or french beans. It tastes awesome and perfect for lunch boxes.

Ingredients

  1. Cut gobi into medium size and clean with water. Drain all water, keep it aside.
  2. Heat oil in non-stick kadhai at medium to high heat. Once oil is hot enough, add panch phoran in to it. Wait till it crackles. Add cauliflower into it and stir it. After one minute of cooking, add turmeric powder.
  3. Fry gobhi at medium to high heat till slightly golden color with lid. Stir it occasionally to avoid it getting burnt. Bring the temperature at medium heat. Add salt, achari masala, coriander & cumin powder, pepper powder & chili powder and stir it.
  4. Cook the gobhi till gets soft and gets well cooked. Once its done, turn off the heat. Keep it covered. Before serving, garnish with coriander leaves.
  5. Achari Gobhi dry is ready. Serve it hot with poori, paratha, roti or daal -rice.
  6. It tastes best with any kind of Poori.
